Written with co-curator Dr Caroline Bressey
Produced largely because of requests from the many visitors to the gallery at the Museum of London Docklands, Reading the London Sugar & Slavery Gallery expands upon the narrative and messages of the gallery itself.
The book enabled us to add more information and also to give references to the sources of som eof the information contained in the gallery text.
It also enabled us to strengthen some of the points made in the gallery - again as a response to visitor comments.
The book also stands alone as a source of information and has been made widely available to educational organisations.
